Some of you are ecstatic to see the first snowflakes flying and some are dreading the bitter cold days and nights for months on end, but whether you are a winter fan or a winter foe, it’s time to face the inevitable and get things ready for the winter.
To help you out, here is a quick list of the things you should consider and a few helpful insider tips for each:
I think we could all use a reminder on being prepared, especially after a tornado hit our little town in Utah yesterday which is unheard of! If someone told me on Monday that there would be a tornado on Thursday, I’d tell them that’s absurd! States like Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas are prepared for tornadoes, because it happens, frequently, but it just doesn’t happen here, so we thought. (more…)
September is Mold Awareness Month and everyone, at some time or another, is exposed to mold because there are over 100,000 different types! If you haven’t heard of “Black Mold” then you probably live in a hole (and are most likely living with mold there too!). I have never met anyone who looks forward to the process of moving. Somehow the stuff you moved in with has multiplied 10 fold and inevitably, you’ll find boxes from the last move that haven’t even been opened yet! Although I haven’t done a lot of moving, when I did, I did a few easy things that saved my bacon in the process. Here are a few of the best things I did to keep my move a little smother:
In honor of National Spouses day, I thought I’d break down the humor of how drastically small life habits change from newly living together roomies/newlyweds to long-time, hunkered down, committed, couples accidentally swapping dentures. Whether you are officially “spouses” or not, if you live together, perhaps you can relate to a few, young or old…
