DO HARD THINGS & ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES…

Ms. Rita Rents

DO HARD THINGSToday I had a packed day, from 7am – 6pm.  I was rushing from an appointment on one end of the valley to the other (a 1.5 hour commute with no time to spare) and got stuck right in the middle of the Tour de Utah at the peak of a mountain climb.  At first I was so frustrated that how on earth, in this entire state could I get stuck the 30 minutes that this race passed through, the top of the mountain.  But then, when the cop waived me off the road and I had no choice but to sit there and watch, I was inspired and grounded.  I learned a few lessons today…

National Spouse Day – Rookies vs. Veterans

Ms. Rita Rents

NationalSpouseDay_CoverIn honor of National Spouses day, I thought I’d break down the humor of how drastically small life habits change from newly living together roomies/newlyweds to long-time, hunkered down, committed, couples accidentally swapping dentures. Whether you are officially “spouses” or not, if you live together, perhaps you can relate to a few, young or old…

International Mountain Day

International Mountain Day

Call me biased, but living in Utah has spoiled me with some of the most majestic mountains in the world. These mountains are home to “The Greatest Snow on Earth”, hiking, biking, snowmobiling, four wheeling, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, camping and so much more. While Utah is infamous for some pretty quirky things like Fry Sauce, Green Jell-O and Carrot Salad, and Sister Wives, it’s also famous for some pretty amazing things, like our mountains! So in honor of International Mountain Day, “You Know You Grew Up in the Shadow of Utah’s Wasatch Mountains if…” (more…)
