I seriously LOVE, LOVE, LOVE fresh herbs in cooking. Adding a tablespoon of dried basil to homemade spaghetti just isn’t the same as picking it fresh off the vine. But you live in an apartment and don’t have a garden you say? Well, fret no more, now you can make your very own fresh herb garden out of every day common scraps that you probably already have in your apartment (except the potted herbs, which you will certainly have to buy).

Spring cleaning, it’s that time of year when we convince ourselves on Wednesday that we’ll for sure start the spring cleaning this weekend and when the weekend comes, we look at the green funk morphing in the crisper, the fuzz bunnies in the corners, the small animal that’s accumulated on the fan blades and think, ya… we’ll tackle that next weekend.
